During this semester students learn about Ancient Judah and Palestina,
to be followed by Jewish Diaspora.
Tracing back from the biblical story of Abraham through Archaeologists’ discovery of the Merneptah Stele and Josephus’ texts on Masada, we will discuss the stories and artifacts which have linked the Jews to the land since 1250 BCE.
The Diaspora curriculum will include themes such as Islamic Imperialism, the Crusades and The Golden Age of Spain .
The Diaspora curriculum aims to give a concise history of The Jews of Spain, Ashkenaz and The Middle East.
