Students will learn about the geographical and cultural roots of their family through interviews with older family members and record their findings in creative ways.
They will learn the etymological and cultural origins of their names, cook foods from their family's cookbook, learn the history of the bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony and so much more.
Following the Israeli tradition of "Roots" project for 12 and 13 year olds, ANUאנו will create your child's personalized Bar/Bat Mitzvah curriculum based on their families cultural identity and personal history. Kids can learn with their group of friends or individually.
This class is for families who wish their child to have a secular coming of age journey .
