Torah for kids / a secular reading

The Book of Genesis Uncensored

Read the Book of Genesis in its raw form.

We invite our students to a semester long weekly Tora reading of the book of Genesis illustrated by R. Crumb.

Read, debate, draw cartoons, contemplate and discuss .

Meet our forefathers and foremothers in all of their weaknesses, talents and complexities.

Learn the story of our connection with the land of Israel  by reading the text where it all happened.

Students will express their understanding in creative forms.

From writing the daily headlines of the killing of Abel or a cartoon storyboard of the days of creation .

This course provides background to the Ancient Israel & Diaspora semester, allowing students to engage hands on with the biblical text that sets the stage for all that is to come in the long and ongoing story of the Jews in the middle east !

Non Jewish kids welcome!
